Cook that compost

A Mastodon friend has his composter up to 100F and the bottom of my batch is still languishing at around 60-62F. It’s holding its heat overnight, but I’m afraid a lot of that is dissipating. Our weather is consistently above zero degrees now, and I’ve decided for the sake of science to see if I can boost my pile temp and get this cooking a little better ahead of summer. I added a lot of material over the winter, and it needs to dry out. Maybe a couple of emergency solar blankets will do the trick? Can’t wait to see!
