One of the nicest rides in the city is coming home from Nepean’s City Hall. It’s a calm, forested route until the river when some of the views become spectacular. I had an event with some colleagues and didn’t want to show up gross so rack-and-rolled it which took pretty much an hour. Riding home was half the time and with the tailwind an absolute joy. For the past couple of years and a couple more to come there’s lots of construction along the way as this route parallels that of the old bus rapid transit route being converted now to light rail.
I’m in the office less as the busy season comes to an end, so there’ll be fewer ride videos for a few weeks. I try to stick close to home after our last big meeting at work and before road-tripping. Close to home seems to mean more scooting – and I’m not going to complain too much about that!
