Skating on the Rideau Canal is one of the most beloved activities in Ottawa. I took the long way home from NU Grocery tonight to catch some footage. It was just a small crowd on the ice tonight – the after-work crowd and some folks stretching their legs. The Canal is fairly easily reached by bus, and there’s lots of bike parking at Lansdowne for the active transportation crowd.
