I'm not sure O'Neill can miss. Her latest novel was by turns horrifying, wickedly funny, profane and sublime. I do hope it's turned into an opera at some point. 5/5.

Angus' Cobalt was a very quick read and periodically delightful. It's not a history I know at all, and I'd have enjoyed a deeper history and analysis. 3/5.
