Marigold buds?

I left the tomatoes out a little long in the sun a couple of days ago and those are a little damaged, but I do that pretty much every year and know they’ll recover fine. More interesting, I swear there are buds forming on my tiny marigold plants. They’re barely beyond seedlings but it’s interesting to see what I assume are the first flowers. Thus far my experience of the marigolds is that they’re foolproof. They sprout fast and apparently flower fast. I’m still curious to see what they do once they’re in the soil!
