Our municipal transit system has recently partnered with Transit as its official app for bus tracking and over the past few days crowdsourcing for bus trips – not just LRT – has opened up. I think I was a little surprised to see that two others were also using the app to track their ride on the bus with me for my trip today. The feature is pretty brand new. I tried to figure out who they were, but everyone’s looking at their phone on the bus anyway. One guy was kind of eyeing me who had the look of a transit-app user.

I travel predominantly by bike so will never top these rankings, but it’s still cool to try. I used LRT to deke in and out of the Rideau Centre to run some errands as well tdoay, and note that I now rank 449th for Line 1 rides, 176th on the 11. As the app grows in popularity I’ve got to imagine those will have to fall? I’m tempted to make a spreadsheet…
